Design and Fund Equitable Electric Transportation For Communities
Mar 14th 8:30AM to 4:30PM EST
Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library Washington, DC
A Workshop for Local Governments and Their Partners
The federal government is making billions of dollars available to accelerate the nation’s transition to electric transportation, with states and electric utilities providing additional support. However, many communities risk being left behind - especially rural, low income, historically underserved, and Justice40 communities. In this workshop, Forth will help you explore how to bring electric mobility to your community in ways that center equity, and how to access funding and assistance to help you with your journey.
You will learn:
- How your community can benefit from clean, affordable electric mobility
- How to meaningfully engage your community
- Best practices for centering equity in proposals
- How to access federal (and other) funding programs
- How to get additional help and support
“The Federal Funding Workshop uniquely brings in a room full of speakers from government agencies, utilities, non-profits, and community based organizations to share funding opportunities that attendees may not have known about. It is a fantastic way to share perspectives, gain a holistic view of barriers to funding and receive eye opening solutions to electrification.”
Skyler Potocek, Customer Program Administrator | Clean Transportation, Xcel Energy
Every attendee has the opportunity to receive additional technical assistance or grant-writing support from Forth’s staff.
Reception to follow.
This workshop is made possible in part by generous financial support from the Center for Environmental Excellence by AASHTO, the Heising-Simons Foundation, and the GM Climate Fund.
