Multiple countries have passed the one million sales milestone with electric vehicles. What lessons can the United States learn from international transportation electrification efforts?

The electric transportation industry is growing worldwide and many countries are incorporating new policies and setting ambitious electrification goals 

In this webinar, Forth will be joined by international counterparts accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in their counties. Our speakers will highlight projects, strategies and organizations doing work to advance transportation electrification, provide key lessons from projects, policies, the impact of COVID-19 and how they are adjusting.

Ashley Duplanty, International Marketing Manager, Forth

Ashley works to raise Forth's growing international profile. She manages Forth's presence at the International Electric Vehicle Symposium and organizes the Roadmap Conference. She also works with Forth's European and Asian partners. Ashley holds a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University and a B.S. from the University of Puget Sound.

Robert Evans, CEO, The Centre of Excellence for Low Carbon and Fuel Cell Technologies (Cenex)

Robert is the CEO of Cenex, a not-for-profit organization tasked with helping the UK transition to a low carbon transport future. Robert is also Chair of the UK Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment Association, where he acts as a voice to Government and the broader stakeholder community for charge point providers, charge point network operators and e-mobility service providers in the UK market. Robert represents Cenex on the Technology Group of the UK’s Automotive Council and was formally a Director of the Advanced Propulsion Centre.


Hiten Parmar, Director, uYilo e-Mobility Programme  

Hiten Parmar is an executive, thought leader and industry expert extending over 15 years in the profession. He currently leads as Director of the national electric mobility programme in South Africa delivering to multi-stakeholder engagements across the public and private sector, both locally and internationally. His enabling, facilitating and mobilizing roles span across government lobbying; industry engagement; enterprise development and thought leadership. Hiten also serves as a liaison for multiple sector-related forums within South Africa, as well as internationally.


Reem Yusuf, Energy Policy Advisor & Climate Attaché, British Consulate-General, San Francisco

Reem serves as a Policy Advisor for Energy and Environment at the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Energy and Climate Attaché to the British Consulate General in San Francisco. In this capacity, she manages the UK government's climate diplomacy across the Western U.S. and leads on the delivery of COP26's Zero Emission Vehicle Campaign, nationally. Previously, she served as an energy consultant at the World Bank, where she helped manage a portfolio of infrastructure projects, leading collaborations between governments, industry, and the World Bank Group. In addition to her expertise in policy and government affairs, Reem has private sector experience working as an investment and strategy consultant for Fortune 500 companies, including Orascom Development Holdings (SWX: ODHN) and Jaguar Land Rover (Tata Motors LTD).  Reem holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University and a Master of Science from the University of Oxford. She was appointed a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum in 2013.
